Leidos is seeking an experienced and motived Virtualizion Administror VMware to support the Defense Thre Reduction Agency (DTRA) on the Integred Informion Technology Support Services (I3TS) contract. This contract is a critical initiive to modernize and opere DTRA's enterprise IT systems. The successful candide will play a key role in enhancing IT efficiency, security, and mission effectiveness by designing, implementing, and maintaining a resilient and secure network infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in supporting the agency's mission to counter and prevent emerging global thres.  Work locion includes Fort Belvoir, VA (Primary) and Reston, VA (Temporary Secondary Locion) As the Virtualizion / VMware Administror, you will be accountable for the design, implemention, and maintenance of our organizion's virtual infrastructure, focusing on VMware technologies. This role will involve managing virtual machines for servers, desktops, and networking components critical to the operions of our enterprise environment. Wh will you do in this role? We are seeking a highly skilled Virtualizion / VMware Administror with demonstred experience in designing, deploying, and managing VMware environments. You will: Deploy and maintain VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines across multiple physical sites. Configure and manage core Omnissa VDI components including connection brokers, geways, profile management, and load balancing. Provide performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizion of VDI environments. Perform regular maintenance, updes, and pches to ensure the security and reliability of the virtual infrastructure. Work with infrastructure teams to integre VDI solutions with network, storage, and security frameworks. Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, resource utilizion, and system availability. Implement and manage VMware networking components such as distributed switches and VLANs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues reled to VMware virtualizion technologies, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and virtual machine management. Work with other IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions th integre with virtualizion technologies and align with command requirements. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrors and team members to foster a deeper understanding of virtualizion technologies and their role within our infrastructure. Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual machines and infrastructure components. Develop and maintain documention reled to virtualizion architecture, processes, and procedures. Evalue and recommend new VMware technologies and solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency. Support projects to enhance the security, efficiency, or capability of the virtualized environment. Work with vendors and third-party providers for troubleshooting and issue resolution. Ensure compliance with security policies, regulions, and best practices reled to virtualizion technologies. Required Qualificions: BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree.   Current DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance. Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certificion (Security+ CE or equivalent)  Demonstred proficiency in managing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere infrastructure. Experience with VMware technologies including ESXi, vCenter Server, vSAN, and vSphere Networking. Experience with Omnissa Horizon 7/8, App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager, and UAGs. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and FSlogix.  Experience Dell Wyse client management. Strong understanding of virtualizion concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to review, modify, and prepare comprehensive documention for virtualizion tasks. Desired Qualificions: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP). ITIL 5 Foundion Certificion. Prior work with VMware Horizon for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Familiarity with automion tools such as Ansible or PowerCLI for automion tasks.
