Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, building, and implementing complex technical solutions to optimize and scale the Instacart platform as part of the Ads Engineering team focused on measurement and data. Duties include: developing robust platform architecture and data-driven engineering solutions to help CPG companies grow their business in the Instacart marketplace; designing and improving innovative ads measurement products using comprehensive purchase data, real-time analytics, and business insights to measure financial impact and achieve desired results; ensuring system designs result in robust solutions that minimize support costs and improve customer experience; designing and implementing data pipelines for the transformation and delivery of data from various sources; analyzing and optimizing expensive SQL queries; executing ongoing testing and analysis of current systems, including independent performance analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and determining design solutions to problematic programming; leveraging AI tools and modern methodologies to optimize development and operational efficiency; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Education: Master’s degree in a technical, analytical, or business field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 18 months of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements include: 18 months of experience analyzing complex and large data sets using SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages; 18 months of experience developing compelling data visualizations with Periscope, Mode, Spreadsheets, or similar data visualization tools; 18 months of experience handling, manipulating, and drawing actionable insights from data sets to improve budget spending decisions; 18 months of experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to automate processes and build reporting solutions; and 18 months of experience working with Zoho Desk, Jira, Git, or similar issue tracking systems.
