Ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and problem-solves Maintenance & Event Setup Technician The Hamptons Event Venue – Red Oak, TX We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Maintenance & Event Setup Technician to join our team. This position combines facility maintenance during the week with event setup and breakdown responsibilities on weekends. Pay $21–$23 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Schedule * Monday & Tuesday: Maintenance and venue setup duties * Two weekend days per week (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday as scheduled) * Weekend event hours are typically 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM Responsibilities Weekday Maintenance * Change locks and perform basic repairs * Touch-up painting and general maintenance * Inspect and monitor HVAC/AC units * Basic plumbing repairs * Light electrical work (switches, outlets, fixtures, etc.) * Grounds and facility upkeep * Identify and address maintenance issues before events * Assist with venue setup and breakdown as needed Weekend Event Operations * Set up and break down tables, chairs, décor, and event equipment * Prepare venue before and after events * Ensure the venue remains clean, organized, and operating smoothly * Assist event staff with operational needs during events * Perform light maintenance and troubleshooting as needed during events Requirements * Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license * Maintenance, handyman, or facilities experience preferred * Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and general repairs * Able to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet for extended periods * Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated * Professional appearance and positive attitude * Ability to work independently and solve problems * Must be available for evening and weekend work What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of keeping a high-end wedding venue looking its best.
