Rogue Audio Tempest III Integrated Amplifier *REDUCED - $1,100 (Denver)

For sale is a Rogue Audio Tempest 3 integrated amplifier. This unit has had a complete service and Magnum upgrades at Rogue and includes all new tubes (less than 100 hours on them) and a new factory box with packaging. This same unit was for sale years ago on The Music Room's site, but I purchased it in 2024 from a local Denver seller and proceeded to replace the speaker connections with new high-end copper binding posts from Cardas before it was sent to Rogue for a full service in which they replaced and upgraded many internal components, and I put in all new vacuum tubes. I also added a small bias tool to the inside of the amplifier chassis, so it's right there for when you need to bias the output tubes. It's an older audiophile model (2010?) but sounded absolutely great with plenty of clear power, dynamics, and musicality, it is just a little too noisy for my very high-efficiency speakers. I can hear a low-level buzz when no music is playing or during very quiet classical passages, but the techs went through it and says it tests just fine and on-spec, it just may be a noisy circuit design from Rogue.
