Summary: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. Ensure patient identification, prepare for exams, and review images for quality Apply Now Job Description: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams on pients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accure and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candide will have a strong understanding of imaging techniques, excellent pient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Essential Functions Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Ensures proper pient identificion, order verificion, and prepares the pient for the exam. Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Adheres to radiion safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment. | Follow regulions of Nuclear Regulory Commission (NRC), Division of Radiion Control, and any other regulory agencies governing the use of radiopharmaceuticals. Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising pient care or quality. Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment. Provides approprie pient educion, ensures pient comfort, and addresses concerns. Practices approprie infection control and sterile techniques. Understands and operes equipment and reled informion systems to ensure quality images. Keeps accure records (required by Licensing Ste and Joint Commission) of pient informion, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions. Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Clinical Board Certificion, i.e. American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certificion Board (NMTCB). Basic Life support (BLS) certificion for healthcare providers. IV certificion for healthcare providers. Preferred Qualificions One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read informion, labels, assess pient needs, opere monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with pient care providers, pients, and visitors th require employee to verbally communice as well as hear and understand spoken informion, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurely, particularly during emergency situions. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipule complex and delice equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting pient care, accessing needed informion, medicion preparion, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer pients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambuling pients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navige crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) May be expected to stand in a stionary position for an extended period of time.
