Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities, Design and Construction, the Senior Director of Design and Construction is accountable for leading the planning, design, and construction of capital projects across an assigned UCHealth region. The Senior Director provides leadership for the regional capital project portfolio and oversees multiple Directors of Design and Construction responsible for project delivery across facilities within the region. The role ensures th capital projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with organizional priorities. The Senior Director collabores closely with regional executives, system leadership, and operional stakeholders to align capital portfolio investments with stregic growth, operional needs, and financial stewardship while ensuring adherence to systemwide design and construction standards. Essential Functions Regional Capital Program Leadership - 45% • Provide oversight for the planning, design, and construction of all capital projects within the assigned region • Lead and monitor the performance of the regional capital portfolio, including scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality metrics • Oversee Directors of Design and Construction responsible for project delivery across facilities within the region • Ensure capital projects align with system standards, regulory requirements, and healthcare facility guidelines • Provide executive-level reporting on capital program performance to regional and system leadership Stregic Planning and Regional Alignment - 25% • Partner with regional executive leadership to align capital projects with clinical stregy, operional priorities, and growth initiives • Collabore with Facilities, Finance, and system leadership to support development of regional capital plans and long-range facility stregies • Provide guidance on project feasibility, phasing stregies, and delivery models for major capital initiives • Support capital prioritizion processes and governance discussions Leadership and Organizional Development - 20% • Lead, mentor, and develop Directors of Design and Construction and other staff within the region • Establish performance expections and accountability structures for project delivery teams • Promote collaborion, communicion, and alignment across multiple project teams and facilities • Support succession planning and professional development across the regional design and construction organizion Operional Excellence and Best Practices - 10% Ensure consistent implemention of systemwide design and construction policies, procedures, and standards Champion best practices in capital project delivery, cost management, contracting stregy, and lifecycle planning Lead initiives aimed improving efficiency, predictability, and transparency in regional capital delivery Qualificions Required • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or reled field • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in planning, design, and construction project management • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including oversight of multiple teams or large capital portfolios • Demonstred experience managing complex healthcare capital programs Preferred • Master's degree in business, engineering, or reled field • Professional certificion such as CHC, PMP, CCM, or LEED AP • Experience working in large, multi-facility healthcare systems Compension Pay: $84.28 - $134.84 / hour.
