Description

Summary: This role requires professional contract security personnel to maintain high visibility, deter theft, and ensure store safety while adhering to strict guidelines and dress code. Highlights: 1. Maintain professionalism and high visibility to deter theft 2. Communicate loss prevention issues to management 3. Adhere to strict dress code and conduct guidelines "Guard card must be valid." Contract Security Guidelines 1. Store does not allow contract security personnel to carry weapons of any kind. 2. Contract security personnel are prohibited from the following: a. Making apprehensions. b. Stopping, interviewing or questioning customers in regards to shoplifting or any other retail related crimes. c. Fraternizing with Tapestry employees. d. Using a cell phone during a shift. 3. Contract security personnel should report to a member of management upon entering and exiting the premises for work duties, breaks or meals. Security personnel must show appropriate identification before being allowed to start their shift. 4. Contract security personnel must sign in daily on store’s sign in sheet. Contract Security Job Expectations 1. Dress Code a. Suit should be navy, black, or grey with white shirt and tie, all well-pressed and fitted. No ID tag should be showing. Security personnel must be neat, clean and well- groomed. b. Uniform must be pressed and in good repair. Excessive jewelry is not permitted. Men are not permitted to wear earrings while on post. c. Security personnel must show appropriate identification before they will be allowed to start their shift. 2. Post Responsibilities a. Maintain professionalism on post at all times (i.e. no leaning, no sitting, no chewing gum, no use of cell phone). b. Maintain high visibility in store to deter external theft by greeting customers. c. Communicate with management about any possible loss prevention issues. d. During any door alarm activation, security personnel must direct customer to a manager for assistance. Security personnel are not to detain or commence inspection of customer’s personal belongings. e. Security personnel are not permitted to inspect employee’s personal belongings. 3. Entering and Exiting the Premises a. Contract security personnel should report to a member of management upon entering and exiting the premises for work duties, breaks or meals. b. Contract security personnel will follow sign in and check out procedures. c. Security personnel must have all bags inspected and all jackets, outerwear, are to be patted down by management prior to exiting the building. Company License# B19716
