We are now hiring multiple positions for our mobile wound care practice Woundlocal. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants licensed in Texas for the full-time position of Mobile Wound Professional. This position requires you to use your car to drive to patient location, including facilities and homes. Compensation: The position is offered as full time W-2 employment. The position is not paid by the hour or by the day, but per patient chart. Thus, there is a range of compensation you can earn. The more patients you can see, the more you can earn. Our providers typically earn between $120,000 to $350,000 annually. Employment Status: Full-time employee with benefits. Candidates hired for full-time night positions are eligible to receive a $7,500.00 sign-on bonus plus up to $4/hour shift differential. Our RN's are responsible for delivering quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients who are hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders, supporting the hospital and program philosophy of care, and ensure the safety and well-being of each patient by following our clinical guidelines as part of our comprehensive clinical treatment team. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide direct care to patients, which includes facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress. Collaborate with a variety of interdisciplinary professionals to determine and provide the best possible care for their patients. Responsible for maintaining a safe environment on the unit. Provide social support for patients by creating and encouraging patients to take advantage of opportunities such as support groups, social activities and other therapeutic measures. Conducts intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history. Plans and provides nursing care for patients. Makes nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommends treatment options. Consults with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients. Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications. Arranges further medical attention when necessary. Assists the client in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment. Keep accurate written charts and records of patient activities and progress. Comply with laws, rules, regulations, protocols, and procedures. Requirements Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university. Required Licenses: Valid Texas RN license in good standing required. CPR required/BLS certification preferred - candidates are expected to pass a provided CPR course within 30 days of hire. SAMA certification required and candidates are expected to pass our provided class within 30 days of hire. Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting, phone triage, tele-health or a combination of education and experience. Must be 21 years old or older. Additional: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health and regulations pertaining to psychiatric nursing and the treatment of the mentally and emotionally disturbed patients.
