I. R. (a for-profit subsidiary of the Georgia Hospital Association), is a Third Party Administrator that provides claims management and administrative services to self-insured workers’ compensation funds as well as self-insured hospitals in Georgia and North Carolina.  At Allied Claims Administration, we strive to mitigate our clients’ cost related to their claims while providing positive interaction with the client and injured employees.  The overall objective of this position is to assist in the overall accounting functions of the company and perform a variety of accounting, compliance and system related responsibilities.   How you'll make an impact Based in the Atlanta, Georgia area, this position offers a dynamic and multifaceted opportunity within an organization that combines the close-knit atmosphere of a small company with the competitive pay and comprehensive benefits of a large corporation. The role involves managing full-cycle accounting (GAAP and Statutory) for three companies, including tasks such as preparing and recording journal entries, managing monthly and year-end closings, performing reconciliations, maintaining fixed assets, and reconciling general ledger accounts. Additionally, the position encompasses various aspects of internal and external reporting during the monthly close process. The candidate will also support compliance efforts, collaborate with underwriting and external auditors, and contribute to system-related tasks and projects.   Responsibilities: Prepare timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements, including all related Insurance Department filings required by statute. Provide financial reports and insights to the board of trustees. o Manage daily financial transactions, including receipts, disbursements, receivables, payables, and collections. Prepare and post complex journal entries with supporting documentation to the general ledger, ensuring timely reconciliations of all detailed accounts. Support annual budget preparation, corporate projections, and annual audits, acting as the primary liaison with the external audit firm. o Assist in the preparation of Federal and State income tax returns, licensing forms, and other tax filings, including 1099s for designated entities. Coordinate and analyze financial data, presenting it in a clear, actionable, and user-friendly format. o Support the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and statutory accounting standards. Manage depreciation schedules, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting. Ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements and standards. Assist with the implementation and management of company software systems, optimizing financial processes and workflows. Handle reporting and special projects as requested, delivering results in a timely and efficient manner.   About You Required: Bachelor's degree, CPA and 5 years of experience. Preferred: Strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to follow standard procedures accurately. Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to meet business-critical deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 4+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience. CPA, MBA, or other financial designation is preferred but not required. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and databases, supported by strong analytical skills. Familiarity with accounting software and programs, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently, seize opportunities, and deliver outcomes without direct supervision. Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
