Perform proof-of-concept, pilot, and demo activities Apply Now Description The Solutions Engineer - Mid supports SEC Office of Informion Technology (OIT) objectives under the ISS contract by identifying and engineering technology solutions th meet enterprise requirements. This role transles functional business needs into technical architecture and engineering requirements for secure, scalable implemention. The engineer valides candide technologies through proof-of-concept, pilot, and demo activities and produces quantitive analyses of alternives to support decision-making. The role delivers clear technical documention and recommendion papers aligned to SEC operional, governance, and compliance expections. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Requirements Analysis and Solution Design - Perform day-to-day solution engineering activities to identify technologies th sisfy SEC enterprise functional and technical requirements. - Transle business and mission requirements into technical architecture, design, and implemention requirements. - Define measurable evaluion criteria for security, performance, scalability, interoperability, and supportability. - Ensure recommended solutions align with ISS service delivery goals and SEC/OIT modernizion priorities. Proof of Concept, Pilot, and Demo Execution - Plan and execute proof-of-concept efforts, pilots, and demonstrions to valide technology suitability. - Develop test scenarios, success metrics, and da collection methods to evalue outcomes objectively. - Document results, risks, dependencies, and implemention considerions from each evaluion cycle. - Present findings to stakeholders and refine approaches based on technical and operional feedback. Analysis of Alternives and Recommendions - Conduct quantitive, criteria-based analysis of alternives for competing technology options. - Evalue tradeoffs across cost, risk, cybersecurity/compliance alignment, and lifecycle operions impact. - Produce written recommendion papers th document alternives considered, evaluion criteria, rionale, and decision ph. - Identify additional research, engineering tasks, or pilot work required prior to production adoption. Documention, Governance, and Stakeholder Collaborion - Produce clear technical analyses, architecture artifacts, and supporting documention for governance and audit readiness. - Collabore with operions, security, engineering, and program stakeholders to align proposed solutions with contract requirements. - Support continuous improvement by incorporing lessons learned and operional da into solution recommendions. - Maintain traceability of requirements, evaluions, and decisions in approved SEC processes and systems. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Citizenship/Work Authorizion: Must meet contract requirements.  Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if required).  Educion: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4-8 years of experience. Experience: - 5+ years of experience in business solutions engineering support for enterprise IT environments. - Demonstred experience in architectural design, engineering design, proof of concept development, pilots, analysis, results, and documention. - Experience mapping functional requirements into technical requirements and producing recommendion/analysis documention for stakeholder decisions. Technical Skills: - Functional-to-technical requirements mapping - Enterprise architectural and engineering design - Proof-of-concept, pilot, and demo planning/execution - Quantitive analysis of alternives and tradeoff analysis - Technical writing and documention of evaluion criteria, results, and recommendions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience supporting federal civilian IT programs in reguled environments. - Familiarity with FISMA, Zero Trust concepts, and audit-support documention practices. - Experience evaluing enterprise cloud and collaborion plforms in hybrid environments. - Working knowledge of IT service management processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow). - Ability to brief technical and non-technical leadership with clear, da-driven recommendions. - TOGAF - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) - ITIL 4 Foundion WORK ENVIRONMENT / OTHER Operional Support: May require participion in on-call or surge support activities depending on operional needs.  Travel: As required per contract direction.
