Program Manager

The Manager / Operations Manager (Senior) serves as the overall lead and administrator for contracted efforts, ensuring the successful execution of programs and projects. This role requires a strategic leader who will act as the primary interface with Government program authorities, providing expertise on technical and operational issues. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in program management, compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, and the ability to manage resources effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues. Oversee the execution of contract requirements by contractors and ensure alignment with project objectives. Manage the acquisition and employment of program/project resources, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor compliance with all applicable Federal and Department of Defense acquisition regulations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Provide subject matter expertise on DoD security policies and regulations, advising team members and stakeholders accordingly. Requirements Education: Required Degree: Master’s Degree in a relevant field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of recent and relevant experience in program or operations management, preferably within a government or defense-related context. We are seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to join our City Wide team who is responsible for assisting with management of contract compliance for building maintenance services, as well as supporting the relationship between City Wide and our Independent Contractors who will deliver on work expectations. Essential functions Develop and maintain productive, working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problems. Review scope of work and ensure quality assurance per account to retain existing business and gain new business. Communicate with your Manager daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including the nightly recap. Make recommendations for IC work assignments, manage to client standards and company guidelines and recommend actions. Manage inspections, customer complaints or requests, new account starts-restarts. Execute City Wide’s New-Start Policy, Customer Compliant Policy, Four Star Policy, and other policies and procedures. Ensure compliance by ICs with authorized, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper use. Other duties as necessary. Requirements High school diploma required or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry. 2-3 years prior experience in management; coaching, motivating, developing other individuals. Building, facilities, janitorial or similar industry experience a plus! Strong planning, organization skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be innovative and strive for continuous process improvement. Bilingual capability would be a plus. This role is Monday-Friday, 4pm-12:30am and will require travel in the counties of Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, Harford, Carroll and Baltimore City. Qualified applicants must have reliable transportation and provide proof of continuing vehicle insurance. Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Manages personnel issues and supervision. Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Maintains company standards by ensuring employees are aware of expectations, are properly trained and are held accountable for their actions. Essential Functions: General operations of the Branch. Develops strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication with customers, and by quickly and effectively resolving problems Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures including but not limited to safety (HACCP, OSHA) personnel, security, pest control and shrink control. Reviews financial and operational reports and takes necessary actions based on report results. Directs subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations including safety, sanitation, shelf labels, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, stacking position, order pulling, shipping and in store customer service. Defines the service standards and the operational mission of the branch, communicates it to the employees and monitors activities in order to meet the goals of the branch. Education, Experience and Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required), Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box or mass merchandising environment. Background in P&L, Inventory control, merchandising, hiring / training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security / loss prevention mandatory. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high volume warehouse operation. Must have excellent communication, organizational and people management / training skills and be extremely customer service oriented. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation. Must have backing in big box, food service, or food retail. Work Environment: For the most part the ambient temperature will be moderate, there are areas that are cold such as the Freezer and hot suchas the Damages area. The work is mostly performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break. Physical labor is infrequent but there may be times when merchandise may need to be moved or an area cleaned. There will be industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) moving material throughout the warehouse. Salary: 65K and benefits!
