Consistent work schedule with projects lined up for months We are a small, residential, family-owned, remodeling company that operates in and around Albuquerque. We have been in business for more than 30 years. We primarily focus on kitchen and bath renovation, but also install a lot of flooring, baseboard and casing, doors, painting, tile, custom showers, cabinets, countertops, etc. We do nearly all of our remodeling work in-house. As such, a qualified candidate will have some experience in some or all of those areas. The IDEAL candidate is well-versed in all of the above, but particularly with tile setting, drywall repairs, trim carpentry and painting. I'm willing to pay [as low as] $18 an hour to start, and am willing to pay as much as $30 an hour for the right candidate. Reputation is everything for our business, and we obtain approximately 90% of our work through word-of-mouth, with only minimal advertising. If I can't 100% trust you with our customers, vendors, sub-contractors and employees, you won't last long. We consistently have work lined up for 3-6 months, and rarely have days off due to lack of work (other than weekends, of course). Please note: I will contact ALL of your references, and you will be required to demonstrate that you can do ALL that you say you can do, with supervision, before ever walking on to a customer's property. The right candidate WILL have a clean background, will have their own hand-tools, AND have reliable transportation (preferably a pickup) and be available from 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work required. If you don't have demonstrable work history AND several good references--both personal and work-related--please do not apply. If you cuss like a sailor, like to report late and/or hung-over for work, have obscene tattoos, don't take your personal grooming seriously, can't provide exceptional references, can't pass a background check, can't pass a drug-screening... then this job isn't for you. Payroll is conducted each week, and you are paid each Friday for the previous week's work. This is real employment--NOT under-the-table stuff, paid-in-cash employment. You will be on payroll through a payroll company, paying taxes, and I will be paying taxes to have you as an employee.
