Key Responsibilities: Adhere to all Baystate Interpreters, Inc. policies related to information security and confidentiality including but not limited to HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Provide accurate on-site interpretation between English and designated target languages. Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Baystate Interpreters, Inc. and respective clients. Follow all interpreter ethics standards, including those set by the IMIA (International Medical Interpreters Association), the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC), the American Translators Association (ATA), the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Uphold principles of confidentiality, accuracy, impartiality, professionalism, and cultural competence in every assignment. Establish and maintain positive, professional interactions with patients, customers, healthcare providers, and clinical staff. Continuously improve specialized vocabulary and subject matter knowledge (e.g., medical, legal, social services) to meet client needs. Demonstrate professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality throughout the interpretation process. Provide high-quality interpretation, ensuring no omissions or additions, while adhering to established industry standards. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and customer service while assisting clients during sensitive interactions. Effectively manage assignments, demonstrating punctuality, preparedness, and adaptability to meet various client needs and settings. Requirements Qualifications: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Proficiency in English and at least one additional language. Strong communication skills and a composed demeanor in challenging situations. Flexibility and reliability to meet the demands of per diem assignments. Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills for accurate interpretation. Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations. Preferred: Completion of a 60-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course from a well-regarded institution. We are currently hiring full-time and per diem Psychiatric Crisis Technician for our Mobile Crisis Assessment Team (MCAT). Apply today to make a meaningful impact! Full Time Position: 40 Hours, Monday-Friday 11 AM to 7 PM at a rate of $40,000.00-$50,000.00 annually depending on experience and licensure. A sign on bonus of $2,000.00 is offered. Per Diem Position: Offers shifts from 11 AM to 7 PM Monday-Friday and weekends 9am-5pm at a rate of $30.00 per hour. This position requires one weekend shift per month. A sign-on bonus of $500.00 is offered. Sign-on bonuses are paid in two installments: the first payment is made after 30 days of employment, and the second payment is made after six months of successful employment. The MCAT program is designed to avoid hospitalizations, minimize police intervention, and link crisis callers to long term services in the community. This program serves residents in Columbia and Greene Counties using a three-pronged system of response; Crisis Prevention, Crisis Intervention, and Crisis Follow up. Duties include: Working as a support of a two-person mobile crisis team. Going out into the community to assess individuals in the midst of a mental health crisis. Deescalating crises. Making a determination as to proper interventions. Intervening in crisis situation over the phone. Networking with various agencies in Columbia and Greene counties. Conducting follow-up case management. Assist in developing individual service plans with clients and providers to meet the needs of high end users of mental health services and individuals experiencing isolated incident crisis states. Foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders that result in the coordination of services to support clients pre-crisis, during crisis and post crisis recovery in order to prevent hospitalization when possible and minimize police interventions when able. Work with the client’s families, natural supports and pre-existing service providers as appropriate. Expedite referrals to support maintenance of client population in the community in a rapid, effective and efficient manner. Maintaining a working knowledge of resources and providing on-call coverage at times. Proper documentation of all work activities is required and essential for this position. Technological competency in databases, Microsoft products, and others is required. Requirements Associate’s degree or post-secondary certificate in Mental Health Technology, Human Services, or a related field preferred or High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years’ experience providing direct services in the mental health and/or substance use field as a direct care worker. Must have the ability to work independently, have good problem-solving skills and have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Familiarity with Greene and/or Columbia County preferred. Must be of good character and background and display an affinity for working with people with mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders. Must be self-motivated. Must have excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills. Have the ability to maintain professional relationships with staff, providers, participants, and the community. Ability to work with a diverse population of urban, suburban and rural cultures and with community members from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties is currently looking for a full-time licensed practitioner for our PROS (Personal Recovery Oriented Services) program in both Hudson and Catskill, NY. This role offers 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The rate of pay is $55,000.00 annually. The PROS program assists Columbia and Greene County residents in recovering from the effects of mental illness. Our blended team offers a customized array of recovery-oriented services that focus on successful transition into positive life roles in the areas of work, school, independent living, and relationships. This model of recovery helps participants learn to self-manage their lives by acquiring new skills and identifying supports. Job Duties Include: Provide individual counseling and support to a caseload of adults with a broad range of mental health issues and are in various stages of recovery. Plan and facilitate recovery based, verbal and task-oriented groups in a classroom setting. Complete assessments, progress notes, and recovery plans on an online database computer system. (AWARDS). Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Attend training's, meetings, group/individual supervision as appropriate. Requirements Minimum required licensure: LMSW or LPN with one year's experience in the mental health field. Familiarity and commitment to recovery based treatment model. Proficiency with online technology systems, including electronic health records. Willingness to perform work onsite in the program and in the community. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
