As we continue to expand, we are looking for a technically proficient and highly motivated Controls Field Service Technician. Position Overview: The Controls Field Service Technician will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical control panels and automation systems at customer sites. This role involves extensive travel (approximately 60%) to customer locations to support equipment startups, provide field service, and ensure optimal system performance. Key Responsibilities: Travel to customer sites using company vehicles to perform startups, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical control panels and systems. Perform hands-on work with electrical systems, including wiring, PLC programming, VFDs, and automation controls. Conduct service calls both onsite and via phone to support customer needs. Perform inspections, testing, and repairs to meet UL(Underwriters Laboratories) and safety standards. Work with pumps and pumping systems, including rotary lobe, diaphragm, and progressive cavity pumps. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand system design and troubleshoot problems effectively. Provide technical support in the areas of automation controls, and industrial equipment. Document service activities and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Requirements 3–5 years of field service or electrical controls experience. Associate degree in a technical field, military experience, or equivalent work experience. Strong background in electrical controls and automation. Familiarity with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards and certifications to govern controls. Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and basic hand tools. Knowledge of pump systems is strongly preferred Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Willingness to travel up to 60%. LaBella is currently hiring for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Ohio offices. The Structures Discipline provides structural engineering services with emphasis on new design, repair, and rehabilitation of constructed works, as well as investigation and performance evaluation. Individual must be able to work independently, as well as part of multi-discipline teams. Duties: Serves as a Lead Engineer who supervises a team of structural engineers, designers and technicians in production of structural construction documents including drawings, specifications, bidding and construction administration for large complex projects including calculation and document reviews. Develops cost effective system layouts as well as performing calculations and coordination with other disciplines. Performs site visits for documentation and cost estimating of existing systems and building conditions. Prepares technical specifications. Reviews and evaluates shop drawings and product submittals. Visits construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed. Maintains and manages budgets for projects including hours and resources. Maintains client relationships Prepares Engineering Reports. Completes complex and specialty types of design. Stays abreast of technical advancements in respective field and disseminates information to others. Works closely with regional managers on managing workload allocation and assists on the preparation of business proposals for new work. Requirements Minimum of 15 years of experience working in the consulting engineering industry. Strong writing and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. BS in Civil Engineering is required. A New York State PE license is required. Revit Experience is a plus. Project history using computer analysis software experience is essential.
