Glenwillow, OH 44139 Note: During training, the management trainee will work both Night and Day shifts.  Job Summary: The Operions Manager Development Program (MDP) is designed to prepare high-potential candides for future leadership roles within the organizion. This position provides hands-on experience in distribution center operions and leadership development, with exposure to key operional areas including Warehouse, Transportion, Inventory, and Facilities management. As an Operions Manager (MDP) Trainee, you will work closely with experienced leaders to gain practical knowledge of operional processes, safety and compliance standards, workforce management, and financial performance. The role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills through supervising associes, managing operional activities, and participing in cross-functional projects th support continuous improvement and operional excellence. Trainees will actively contribute to achieving operional goals, supporting an established operions budget, and assisting with stregic initiives to accommode business growth and evolving customer needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Participe in structured training to develop knowledge of operional systems, safety programs, and performance management practices. Learn and support OSHA safety programs, operional business processes, systems, and tools utilized within the distribution environment. Collabore with frontline leaders including Warehouse Managers, Transportion Managers, Inventory Managers, and District Sales Managers to understand daily operional activities. Supervise associes as assigned, including responsibilities reled to staffing, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by reinforcing safety programs, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring proper safety procedures, equipment, and tire are followed. Partner with the Transportion Manager to maintain operional efficiency and ensure accure, timely loading and unloading of trucks. Assist with scheduling workloads, coordining warehouse activities, and monitoring productivity to meet service and delivery expections. Support inventory management processes and ensure customers are notified of product shortages or substitutions by coordining with Customer Service, Warehouse Supervisors, and Operions leadership. Ensure building, equipment, and facility maintenance standards are upheld through coordinion of repair and maintenance activities. Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with standard opering procedures (SOPs), company policies, and regulory requirements. Complete the assigned training curriculum and all required development programs within the trainee program. Contribute to projects focused on operional improvement, cost control, and process optimizion. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizional objectives. Customer service oriention. Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to work in a warehouse environment th may include exposure to varying temperures, noise, and heavy equipment. May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
