Shavali Fabric is a Los Angeles-based fabric retailer specializing in stretch fabrics, spandex, metallics, holographics, performance fabrics, and specialty textiles used for fashion, dancewear, swimwear, costumes, activewear, and other creative applications.
We sell through our own website as well as Etsy and work with individual customers, designers, costume makers, brands, and businesses across the country.
We are looking for a highly organized, dependable and creative E-Commerce & Content Assistant who can help manage the day-to-day online side of the business.
This is a hands-on position. You will work directly with our fabrics, photograph products, create and maintain online listings, organize product information and eventually assist customers.

What You’ll Do
Product Photography & Content
* Photograph new fabrics using our established photography setup and workflow
* Create consistent flat-lay, draped and detail photos
* Film short videos demonstrating fabric stretch, shine, texture and drape
* Maintain accurate fabric colors in photos
* Perform basic photo editing, cropping and color correction
* Organize product photos and videos by SKU and product
* Prepare images for Shopify, Etsy and social media
Shopify & Website
* Create new product listings
* Upload and organize photos and videos
* Write and edit product descriptions
* Enter product specifications including width, fiber content, stretch, weight and other details
* Maintain pricing, colors, variants and availability
* Organize products into collections
* Update discontinued or out-of-stock products
* Improve existing product pages for consistency and clarity
* Add image alt text and basic SEO information
* Identify missing information, outdated listings and website issues
Etsy
* Create and update Etsy listings
* Upload product photography and videos
* Write optimized titles, descriptions and tags
* Maintain variations and pricing
* Improve older listings
* Help keep the Etsy store organized and consistent
* Assist with basic Etsy promotional and merchandising tasks
Product & Inventory Organization
* Maintain accurate product information
* Track which products have been photographed
* Track which products are listed on Shopify and Etsy
* Maintain SKU and color information
* Help organize samples and swatches
* Keep digital product files organized
* Help identify missing photography, listings or product information
Customer Service
Customer service will become part of the position after you become familiar with our products.
Responsibilities may eventually include:
* Responding to basic customer emails and Etsy messages
* Helping customers select fabrics
* Answering questions regarding stretch, width, color and fabric characteristics
* Assisting with sample and swatch requests
* Providing order and tracking updates
* Answering basic phone inquiries
* Directing custom printing, wholesale and larger opportunities to the owner
* Following up with potential customers when appropriate

You do not need to be a professional photographer.
We will have an established product photography setup and workflow. We are looking for someone who can learn the system and consistently produce accurate, clean product photography.
