Utilize strong observation and communication skills in a professional setting Command International Security Services is seeking experienced and dependable Security Officers to provide security services at a gated residential community in the San Fernando Valley. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of security experience and prior experience working in high-risk environments, including areas affected by gang activity. The ideal candidate must be highly observant, professional, and capable of maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Officers must demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally to security concerns. Responsibilities - Conduct routine patrols throughout the gated residential community to maintain security and establish a visible presence. - Monitor the property for suspicious activity, unauthorized individuals, trespassing, and potential security threats. - Maintain access control by monitoring and authorizing the entry of residents, visitors, and vehicles. - Lock and secure restrooms and other designated facilities according to site procedures. - Monitor areas with a history of criminal activity, including environments affected by gang activity. - Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and security concerns promptly and professionally. - Address unauthorized access and trespassing in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. - Assist residents and visitors when needed while maintaining a professional security presence. - Inspect designated areas, entrances, exits, doors, and other access points to ensure they remain secure. - Complete accurate daily activity reports and document all incidents and unusual occurrences. - Communicate with supervisors regarding security concerns, incidents, and site conditions. - Perform additional security-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications - Minimum of 8 years of security experience. - Prior experience working in high-risk environments or areas affected by gang activity. - Valid California Guard Card. - Strong observation, situational awareness, and conflict de-escalation skills. - Knowledge of security procedures, access control, and public safety practices. - Excellent report-writing and communication skills. - Reliable, punctual, and professional. - Ability to remain alert and perform routine foot patrols throughout the shift.
