This role requires a discreet, low-key presence focused on maintaining safety while preserving the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the establishment. We are looking for individuals who understand that effective security is often unseen — maintaining awareness and control without disrupting the guest experience. The ideal candidate knows how to remain professional and composed, stepping forward only when action is necessary. Position Overview As a Coffee House Security Officer, you will maintain a subtle but alert presence during your shift. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property while blending into the environment and supporting daily operations without drawing unnecessary attention. Schedule • 36–48 hours per week • 12-hour shifts Key Responsibilities • Maintain a discreet, low-profile presence throughout the premises • Monitor for suspicious behavior, disturbances, or safety concerns • Intervene calmly and professionally when situations require action • De-escalate conflicts using clear communication and sound judgment • Coordinate with management regarding any security concerns • Respond promptly to incidents in accordance with established protocols • Complete accurate and detailed incident reports Qualifications • Strong observational skills and situational awareness • Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment • Prior security experience preferred, but not required
