Summary: Comal Transportation is seeking a Heavy Truck/Trailer yard operator to drop and hook trailers within the yard, manage loading, and perform minor tasks, requiring attention to detail. Safety-sensitive role requiring vigilance and attention to detail Comal Transportation is looking for a Heavy Truck/ Trailer yard operator at our Killeen location. Work week is Monday through Saturday. Driver/ Loader will drop and hook trailers in the yard only and will not be on an active roadway. Operators will hook empty trailers, drive them to the facility loading area and wait for them to be loaded by others. When full, operator will drop the trailer in the yard for pickup, roll and secure the tarp, and repeat the process. Occasionally yard operator will have to re-seat tires on rims by using a bead seater as well as various other minor tasks as required. Driver/ Operators tractor trailer experience is preferred (however we are willing to train) and be able to proficiently navigate and back a 48' box trailer in close quarters. Operators do not need a CDL but DO need a valid Texas DL with a good record. This is a safety sensitive position, pre-employment drug test and PPE is required.
