Van Excursion to New Mexico

Description

Trail hiking (intra-day), small-town reconnoitering, scenic-byway motoring, museum visits, wine tasting, afternoon naps, healthy eating, early bedtimes, et cetera. All within an intimate, congenial, just-the-two-of-us context. The van: An extra-rugged, well-appointed and meticulously-maintained Ford Chateau (E350/Super-Duty/V-10) (see pic). Overnight sleeping: In-van (in a shared-with-guide/snuggle-feasible space). Staying warm (because mountain-region nights are always cold): Said van is fitted with a powerful/state-of-the-art/Airtronic-D2-type bunk heater. Cuisine: A combination of each person on their own and mutual endeavors of various sorts. About me: I'm a retired, outdoors-ish, Colorado-savvy guy who's also college-degreed, polymathic, extra-tall and fit. About you: You're a senior-ish, confident d ame who's also accomplished, amicable and fit. (Or, ... you're a younger, erudite and fit d amsel to whom a "traveling-with-my-dad" kind of ambiance would be enjoyable.) Please note: A van, even a full-sized one, is a much-more-nimble vehicle vis-a-vis a typical, huge-and-unwieldy RV.
