About the Role Babel Audio is seeking professional Thai voice actors (fluent in standard Thai / Central Thai, Bangkok dialect) for solo voice-over/recording projects. Your voice recordings will be used to train AI systems to better understand and express human emotions. This role requires strong interpretation skills and character embodiment—true craftsmanship—and we have carefully structured the job details to suit this purpose. You will receive scripts and scene summaries to study emotional context and authentically convey character roles and momentary emotional states. Scenes are highly specific and emotionally rich—you may portray: A bride bidding farewell to her family on her wedding day, overwhelmed by a flood of emotions. A father holding his newborn baby in his arms for the first time, filled with overwhelming emotion. A shepherd who glances into the distance and spots a wolf, instantly becoming alert and preparing to protect his flock. A doctor burdened with sorrow as he delivers news of a patient’s passing to the family. A runner, having trained rigorously for many years, crossing the finish line with overflowing, surging emotion. Each recording lasts no longer than one minute. You may choose which roles to perform and work entirely on your own schedule. Who You Are Fluent in standard Thai (Central Thai, Bangkok dialect) at a native level. Experienced in voice-over, narration, audiobook reading, or related fields. Capable of delivering expressive, engaging vocal performances using diverse styles and emotional ranges. Able to interpret scene summaries accurately and work independently without supervision. Compensation $90 USD per recorded audio hour. Additional performance-based bonuses may apply. Technical Requirements Clear and consistent audio quality. External microphone: USB recommended (or XLR; built-in microphones, wireless/HF mics, or Bluetooth mics are not accepted). Recording device: A computer is required (mobile phones or smartphones are not accepted). Environment: A quiet, noise-free space with acoustic treatment or sound absorption (no audible reverb).
