Aura House Studios is seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to join our production team and support podcast and content recording sessions at our Los Angeles studios.
We’re looking for someone who is technically confident, detail-oriented, professional with clients, and experienced working in a fast-paced production environment.
-Responsibilities-
Set up, operate, and monitor audio for podcast and video podcast recordings
Operate the RØDECaster Pro II throughout recording sessions
Set appropriate microphone gain, processing, routing, and headphone mixes
Monitor audio levels and quality in real time to identify and resolve issues before they affect the recording
Work with multiple microphones and talent configurations
Manage multitrack audio recording and confirm files are properly captured
Troubleshoot microphones, cables, headphones, routing, and other audio equipment
Coordinate closely with videographers, producers, technicians, and studio staff
Assist with equipment setup and breakdown before and after sessions
Maintain a professional, welcoming experience for clients and their guests
-Requirements-
Must be based in the Los Angeles area and available to work on-site
Hands-on experience with the RØDECaster Pro II is required
Professional experience recording podcasts, interviews, studio productions, or similar content
Strong understanding of microphone gain staging, signal flow, multitrack recording, monitoring, EQ, compression, gating, and general audio troubleshooting
Comfortable working with multiple speakers and microphones simultaneously
Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues during live recording sessions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working directly with clients
Able to work collaboratively as part of a production crew
-Preferred Experience-
Experience with Shure SM7B microphones
Experience recording both live mixes and isolated multitrack audio
Familiarity with video podcast production workflows
Experience working in a professional podcast, recording, or production studio
Knowledge of the ATEM Mini Pro ISO or similar live production equipment is a plus
Schedule
This is an on-site, production-based position with scheduling based on studio bookings. Availability may include weekdays, evenings, and occasional weekends depending on production needs.
