This position will support Prescott's, Inc.
The Microscope Technician is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, and quality assurance of optical and electrical components of the surgical microscopes. This role supports laboratory, research, or production teams by ensuring that microscopes and related imaging equipment are operating at optimal performance. This position involves the repair and refurbishment of surgical microscope components and full systems such as binoculars, beamsplitters, assistant tubes, and various other optical microscope components.
This position will be worked onsite at our facility in Monument, CO.
Responsibilities
Identification of surgical microscope systems and parts
Diagnosis of mechanical, electronic & optical issues with surgical microscopes, optical components and accessories
Repair of surgical microscope components
Refurbishment of surgical microscope components, including;
Cleaning
Repair
Preparation for painting (cleaning, masking)
Painting
De-prepping
Preparation for quality control
Assistance with the receiving of surgical microscopes, and components
Cataloging and organizing of inbound surgical microscope inventory
Assist with the packing of surgical microscopes and components
Preparation of Table Top / Wet Lab microscopes
Assist with trade show preparation
Work with the Service & Inventory departments for inventory control of accessories
General assistance with production area organization and cleanliness
Requirements
0-1+ years of work-related experience
High school diploma or GED required
Previous mechanical experience is a plus
Ability to work with blueprints, technical drawings, or BOMs (bill of materials)
Attention to detail and organizational skills are very important
Ability to inspect and work with small components
Must be able to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week/Flex schedule also available
Candidate must be able to lift up to 25lbs
Candidate must be able to pass a drug test and background check prior to being hired
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
