Ensure safe and organized warehouse operations Shipping and Receiving Associate Company: Nidra Packaging Location: Chesapeake, Virginia Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview Nidra Packaging is seeking a dependable and organized Shipping and Receiving Associate to support our growing beverage manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing finished products for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and safely operating forklifts and warehouse equipment. Previous forklift experience is required. Responsibilities * Receive and inspect incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies. * Verify received materials against bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders. * Load and unload trucks using a forklift. * Stage finished products and materials for production and customer pickup. * Prepare outbound shipments and confirm product quantities and pallet counts. * Complete and maintain shipping and receiving documentation. * Label, organize, and properly store inventory. * Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation. * Communicate inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and shipment issues to management. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. * Follow all company safety, food-safety, and warehouse procedures. * Assist production and warehouse teams as needed. Requirements * Prior forklift operating experience is required. * Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred. * Ability to safely load and unload trucks and move pallets throughout the facility. * Ability to read bills of lading, packing slips, inventory documents, and product labels. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift. * Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Forklift certification is preferred, but qualified candidates may be evaluated and certified onsite. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in food, beverage, manufacturing, or distribution facilities. * Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse tracking software. * Familiarity with lot codes, production dates, and material traceability. * Experience preparing bills of lading and coordinating freight pickups.
