Summary: Seeking a skilled painter for a second shift position, responsible for preparing parts, applying liquid coatings using HVLP systems, and maintaining quality standards. Highlights: 1. Apply required liquid coatings using HVLP style paint gun systems 2. Perform paint applications with little supervision in a fast-paced environment 3. Develop a complete understanding of quality paint standards Full time permanent position on second shift is 2:30-1:00 am Monday thru Thursday. The painter will be required to possess the skills to prepare the parts for paint and be able to apply the required types of liquid coating using the HVLP style paint gun systems (Single stage topcoats and Black/Clear applications). Possess the skill set to apply all paint applications within the Paint department with little supervision. • Able to perform in a fast pace production paint environment. • Knowledge of equipment used and the skill to use the equipment for surface preparation for paint applications. • Develop a complete understanding of quality paint standards to ensure that the paint finishes produced by the paint department meets Bell manufacturing standard. • Become acquainted and continuously follow all painting safety policies and procedures on the job. . • Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Must be able to climb up and down, as well as working while using a ladder. • Must be able to wear a respirator for up to ten hours. • Clean work areas and keep all dirt/dust, trash, used sandpaper, etc. from off the floor and in other areas by following 5S and other lean initiatives. • Perform other flexible job duties as needed and determined by management. • Attendance is an essential function of the job, must be at workstation at the beginning of the shift.
