MAILROOM MACHINE OPERATOR
Our client operates a fast-paced office environment with extensive contact with clients and employees. They demand the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in safeguarding client and project information.
The Mailroom Associate position is helps in various areas of the Mail Center including handwork, fanning, quality check and sorting responsibilities. Quality results driven with an eye for detail in a fast paced, high volume work environment is the ideal incumbent for this role.
PAY: $20 per hour (pay weekly!)
LOCATION: Beaverton (day shift is accessible from public transit from some areas)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Overtime or minor schedule adjustments are possible so some flexibility with hours is required.
Other shifts including swing may be available so contact a recruiter for availability.
DUTIES:
• Handwork: Staple packets, stuffing envelopes and organizing items as directed by standard operating procedures. Quality checks the mail pieces before and after processing to ensure mail is produced in accordance with USPS Regulations
• Fanner: Assists either Insert/Sorter operator at the end of the mail machines. Quality check production mail pieces to ensure mail is produced in accordance with standard operating procedures. Performs line breakdown and tray preparation for entry into the USPS.
• Meter: Applies postage to mail pieces by running them through a Postage Meter. Quality checks the mail pieces before and after processing to ensure mail is produced in accordance with USPS Regulations..
• Sweeper: Set up and adjust the machinery that performs all the mailing operations. Work independently to maintain consistent quality through the run, and maintaining quantity counts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attention to detail
• Work in fast paced environment with accuracy
• Moderate Computer Skills
• Knowledge of USPS Regulations
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist and lift depending on job station.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English and follow written instructions.
