Candidates for CNC machinist positions must have the ability to follow verbal and work instructions from shop floor paperwork, have attention for details, pride in their work, and a strong work ethic. Further, they must also have the following position specific qualifications: **CNC Machinist/Mills** Journeyman machinist with 7+yrs experience Setup on HAAS vertical/horizontal mills A MUST. Must have own basic measuring tools Should know G and M codes, able to edit/verify programs, inspect your own work Programming with Surfcam, Mastercam and Solidworks knowledge is A PLUS We machine metals and plastics, multiple operation parts, close tolerances, assemblies, frames Skill Level Knowledge Requirements : • Tend to one or more machine tools to machine metal and non-metal work pieces .• Complete routine machine maintenance. • Capable of interpreting and editing CNC programs using Haas controls. Knowledge of Surfcam, Mastercam and SolidWorks is an advantage • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Reads blue print and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required to set up each operation. • Builds fixtures as required to hold work piece. • Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools. • Modify programs as required to meet product conformity. • Replace cutting tools as required to meet product conformity. • Maintain statistical reporting. • Deburr work pieces as required. • Clean parts as required.
