Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator and Installer to join our custom metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metalworking, welding, and installation of custom metal products. This role requires precision, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience is preferred; however, training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication:
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand the requirements of custom metal projects.
· Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials using various tools and machines such as saws, shears, presses, and rollers.
· Weld and join metal components using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
· Assemble fabricated parts to create complete metal structures and products.
· Inspect and test completed products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Installation:
· Transport and deliver fabricated metal products to job sites.
· Install metal products on-site, ensuring precise fit and alignment according to project specifications.
· Use hand and power tools to make necessary adjustments and secure installations.
· Work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
Maintenance and Safety:
· Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.
· Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Identify and report potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Work closely with designers, engineers, and other fabricators to ensure project accuracy and quality.
· Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or changes in project specifications.
· Provide input and feedback to improve fabrication and installation processes.
Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
· Strong welding skills, with experience in MIG and TIG
· Ability to operate various metalworking machines and hand tools.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Physical ability to regularly lift heavy materials up to 70lbs.
· Capable of bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time.
· Capable of working at heights up to 25ft.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication and installation
Work Environment:
· This position involves working in both a shop and field environment.
· Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and welding helmets is required.
