Work in a team-oriented environment with focus on precision Summary: We are in need of an entry level assistant in our metal shop. We work mostly with small aluminum parts doing short production runs from 10 to 50 pieces of different parts for our products. Looking for someone that has a little hands-on shop experience that can read a tape measure and be comfortable around saws, presses and some light machine work. Must have some basic math skills and be willing to listen and learn. We will train in all phases of metal fabrication producing our automotive accessories. Duties include: Sawing aluminum tubing of various sizes in different machines, manual shearing of aluminum sheet, lathe work, sanding and buffing, maintain inventory of materials, assembly of products and boxing for shipping, helping keep shop neat and clean. Must pay good attention to details and learn to make accurate parts for the precision welding we do. Be willing to get dirty occasionally. Be prompt and reliable and willing to learn every day and be proud of their workmanship. Must be a team player and proficient in English language to read instructions, communicate and follow safety instructions and disciplined enough to work unsupervised. This is a full-time position, 40 hrs./week and with possible overtime. Pay: $16.90 per hour to start, review after 90-day trial period. Having own transportation is a plus but not required.
