FloorCraft LLC is looking for a motivated Sales Associate to represent our company in-store and help connect customers with our professional installation services.
This position begins as a temporary 8-week trial period. The first 8 weeks will allow both the employee and FloorCraft to determine whether the position is a good fit. If the employee successfully performs the job and it works well for both sides, the position may become permanent.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work at an assigned retail store and interact directly with customers shopping for flooring, tile, countertops, and related materials.
• Approach and speak with customers to determine whether they already have an installer for their project.
• Introduce customers who need installation to FloorCraft's installation services and help turn those conversations into installation leads and projects.
• Schedule in-home estimate appointments with customers and add appointments to the estimator's Apple Calendar.
• Enter and manage customer/project information through the IME system. Training on the IME system will be provided before starting in the store and typically takes only a few hours.
• Follow up with potential customers when necessary and help move installation leads toward scheduled estimates and sold projects.
Qualifications:
• Sales and customer-service experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable approaching customers, starting conversations, and promoting installation services.
• Construction or home-improvement knowledge is strongly preferred, particularly with tile, hardwood flooring, different types of hardwood, countertops, and general installation projects.
• Basic familiarity with Apple Calendar and the ability to learn new systems.
• Additional project or technical questions can always be directed to the FloorCraft team for assistance.
• Must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently while representing FloorCraft in-store.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
Schedule & Employment:
• Part-time or full-time opportunities available.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Position begins with an 8-week temporary/trial period with the opportunity to become permanent.
• No paid holidays or paid vacation are currently offered.
This is a good opportunity for someone who is outgoing, comfortable speaking with customers, has knowledge of flooring and construction, and is motivated to generate and sell installation projects.
