Voter Registration Trends (2020–2024): In the 30 states that track party registration, Republicans gained a net 2.4 million voters while Democrats lost 2.1 million, creating a 4.5 million voter swing toward the GOP over that period. More than twice as many Democrats switched their party to Republican since September 2024 than the other way around.
