A good answer: I highly doubt the lackluster Dems will win the executive branch in 2028. MAGA is too powerful and unstoppable. MAGA will lick their wounds with Trump's failures and elect a smart, savvy, good looking, charismatic 30 something that once elected, as with Trump, will do their bidding. The Dems feeble attempts to put forward radical left candidates in response will fizzle and die as working-class citizens, the salt of the earth, are moderate centrists. On the slim chance, in a Hail Mary pass the Dems win in '28, the MAGAs that have controlled our board will do as they did in 2021-25; refuse to discuss Trump, make up crazy lies about the Democratic president, opine on how much life was better under Trump, claim the election was rigged, and flag off all rational dissenting views.
