hello, I have a hedgie I am looking to rehome, he just turned 3 the 3rd of June 2026, I am asking $95 for him, for more info about him please TEXT me at five 0 two -4 three 8- seven 1 zero 9. I will not answer phone calls, you can email but no guarantee I'll see it. he is GRUMPY and huffy he has been this way his whole life, but he does unball. he will need someone with patience who's willing to bond with him and understanding he may not be the most cuddly man ever. he is a BIG boy! hitch the large McDonald's cup for size reference! proof of houseing he will be living in is REQUIRED before i will agree to let him go, hedgehogs are SOLITARY animals and do not need nor want companionship from other hedgehogs!!!! your minimum of 30mins a night (they are nocturnal animals so are awake in the evenings at night and early mornings) is enough. they eat HIGH GRADE CAT food! I cannot stress enough do not feed them "hedgehog" food or anything else it can and will make them sick! he is currently eating Hills Science diet kitten original formula, he has been on it his entire life. he will need heating, the only way to properly provide heat for them is with a ceramic heat emitter(CHE) no regularlyhest lamps and no heating mats! you'll also need a proper thermostat to keep track of heat, not one of the cheap reptile ones that are inaccurate as hedgehogs need to stay at 75°F to 80°F year round or you risk them trying to hibernate and their organs will shut down. he will also need a 12" wheel, hides, enrichment and an enclosure no smaller than 19"/20" wide, 32"/33"long, no wire rabbit/guinea pig cages as they pose a risk to the hedgie climbing and getting hung, no free ranging, no kennels, clear storage bins or C&C cages are preferred. happy to answer any questions about hedgehogs you may have, or send reccomend care items if you need help so even new hedgehog parents welcome!
