Dog Needing Experienced New Home

Description

We are looking to re-home our family's dog following the passing of his owner. Unfortunately, no one in our family is able to provide him with the time, space, attention, and training that he needs. We want to be completely upfront about his behavior so that he goes to an appropriate home. His previous owner loved him but did not provide him with consistent training or socialization, and as a result he has several behavioral issues that his next owner will need to be prepared to work with. He: * Knows basic commands such as sit * Is not neutered * Pulls strongly on the leash * Has poor recall and should not be trusted off-leash in an unsecured area * Has a history of aggression toward other dogs and has injured dogs in the past * Needs additional training, structure, exercise, and consistent handling * Because of his history with other dogs, we are looking for an owner who understands that he will require careful management around unfamiliar animals. He would be best suited to an experienced dog owner with a securely fenced property and enough time to work with him. A large yard or rural property could be a good fit.
