We are a local, family-owned laboratory with over 80 employees. Our business is helping to clean and protect the environment by testing soil and water samples for pollutants such as petroleum, metals, solvents, pesticides and bacteria. Our clients are environmental consulting and engineering firms, governmental agencies and municipalities, utilities, computer chip manufacturers, and other industrial companies.
The open position is for an entry-level lab technician who prepares the soil and water samples before they are tested by the laboratory analysts. Employees are fully trained in the laboratory procedures they will be performing, and all safety protocols before being allowed to handle samples.
Having some knowledge of science from high school or college classes is helpful but not necessary. We'd rather have the right person, even if it takes longer to train them. Many successful hires in the last few years have been recent college graduates in science, but also people who have wanted to change careers from the food service industry, various retail jobs, and moms returning to the workforce after raising children.
We seek dedicated, hard-working people who are detail oriented, get along well with others, and who appreciate a stable, pleasant work environment.
The shift is full time, mon-fri, 9:00AM-5:30PM. We have a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401k retirement program with a 6% match.
Please respond with a resume, or a description of your education and previous work history.
