Own projects from sketch to installation Project Lead – Architectural Design & Cabinetry The Opportunity We are an established cabinetry shop looking to launch a dedicated “Design Professionals” division. We have a steady stream of inquiries from architects and designers, and we need a dedicated lead to own these projects from the first sketch to the final install. You will act as the primary liaison between the design community and our production team, operating as a "business within a business." Key Responsibilities - Design Translation: Convert architectural intent and designer sketches into buildable, high-fidelity shop drawings using Mozaik. - Estimating & Value Engineering: Provide accurate project estimates. Identify opportunities to maintain design integrity while optimizing for shop efficiency and client budget. - Client Management: Serve as the single point of contact for architects. Manage the "submittal loop," including finish samples, hardware selections, and shop drawing approvals. - Project Oversight: Manage the project timeline, coordinate field measurements, and ensure the shop floor has every detail they need to execute. - Business Development: Nurture existing relationships with design firms to ensure a consistent pipeline of high-margin work. Qualifications - The "Technical-Creative" Balance: You must be able to read a complex set of blueprints but also understand the nuances of a grain-matched walnut finish. - Experience: 3-5 years in custom cabinetry, millwork, or architectural drafting. - Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of cabinetry design software and/or CAD. - Communication: Elite verbal and written communication. You must be able to push back on a designer’s "impossible" detail with a professional, buildable alternative.
