Well-established, San Rafael-based engineering and specialty construction contractor is seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Superintendent / Operations Supervisor to lead field operations and help drive the continued success of our company.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional who enjoys leading crews, coordinating multiple projects, solving problems in the field, and overseeing challenging construction projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate should have strong field and management experience in several of the following areas:
-Drilling and pier installation
-Structural concrete and foundations
-Excavation and grading
-Retaining walls and earth retention systems
-Shotcrete applications
-Concrete flatwork
Key Responsibilities
-Oversee daily field operations, crews, and active construction projects
-Coordinate project schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
-Monitor job progress, quality, safety, and productivity
-Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
-Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and field personnel
-Identify field and scheduling issues and resolve them efficiently
-Assist with RFIs, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
-Ensure crews have the information, materials, and equipment needed to perform their work
-Help maintain project schedules and meet deadlines
-Communicate project updates and field needs to management
-Oversee multiple projects and crews as needed
Qualifications
-Proven experience managing construction projects and field personnel
-Strong field construction knowledge and hands-on problem-solving ability
-Strong blueprint reading and construction layout skills
-Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
-Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
-Experience with Bluebeam is a plus
-Valid California driver's license required
-Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
Schedule
-Full-time position
-Must be available to report to our San Rafael office and be ready to start the workday at 7:00 AM
-Occasional flexibility in hours may be required depending on project and field needs
