Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer & Operator to play a critical role in our production process. In this role, you will bridge the gap between digital design and physical craftsmanship, ensuring that our premium raw materials are machined to flawless specifications. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offering competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
• Program, set up, and operate CNC woodworking machinery for complex, custom projects.
• Interpret architectural drawings and CAD models to develop efficient machine toolpaths.
• Perform material setups, tool changes, and routine machine maintenance to ensure peak performance.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, quality, and adherence to tight tolerances.
• Collaborate closely with our bench jewelers and cabinetmakers to streamline production workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong technical proficiency in CNC programming and machining operations, specifically within a woodworking environment.
• Solid foundation in CAD software and standard G-code/programming logic.
• High mechanical aptitude with an exceptional eye for detail, precision, and material yields.
• Background in custom woodworking, wood species characteristics, and traditional wood joinery is highly preferred.
• A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot machine or file discrepancies independently.
