As a CAD Engineer/Designer, you will be an integral part of our design and engineering team, contributing to the development of innovative and high-quality stormwater pollution abatement products. You will utilize your knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed technical drawings and models, supporting the engineering process from concept to production. You will work directly with management and customers and be responsible for creating and maintaining product drawings for innovative stormwater pollution abatement products and systems using standard drafting practices and procedures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that drawings meet design intent, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities. Benefits • Progressive salary with annual bonus • Subsidy towards Dental, Vision, and Health insurance • Paid time off • Half workday every Friday Essential Job Functions and Duties Drafting • Develop detailed engineering drawings from 3D models for systems and components using AutoDesk and SolidWorks. • Dimension and tolerance drawings • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including manuals and reports. • Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and technical documents. Collaboration and Project Management • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure drawings have all the necessary information for production of parts and assemblies. • Assist with Bill of Materials and Engineering Change Notices. • Create parts lists • Work with engineering and technical leads on product development. Manufacturing Support • Work closely with production and management to resolve drawing related issues. • Ensure that production always has the most current drawings. Continuous Improvement • Support efforts to continuously improve document accuracy and efficiency. • Suggest improvements to drafting standards, templates and workflows. • Willingly take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed. Education and Experience • Associates degree in Engineering or Design/Drafting or equivalent experience. • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. • 2+ years of CAD / Drafting experience, preferably in the civil engineering, marine, utility, or manufacturing industry. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoDesk, SolidWorks). • Attention to detail. • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as precast concrete and metal fabrication. • Knowledge of utilities and civil engineering systems and components is highly desirable. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work Schedule / Travel / Additional Requirements • Normal office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8AM – 4:30PM, and Friday 8AM – 12:00 • Travel between office and manufacturing and customer locations as needed. • Background - clear background required for new hires.
