Opportunity to develop mechanical aptitude and repair skills The Technician I performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and lubrication on industrial equipment, trucks, trailers, automobiles, facilities and any other assets belonging to the company. This position will also handle minor repairs or component replacement while performing quality inspections following the assigned checklist and guidelines. Must possess own basic tools or the ability to acquire tools upon hire Mechanical aptitude Demonstrated aptitude for maintaining and repairing equipment Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate document daily work and progress, track procurements and repair status Ability to pay attention to detail and remain alert to ensure safety Ability to understand and follow instructions and to communicate with co-workers Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment Preventive maintenance background Shop experience Parts knowledge Valid Class C driver’s license Record of safe driving for the last three years *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
