This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for directing scaffold crews while actively participating in the field erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolds. The Scaffold Erector plays a critical role in maintaining productivity, safety, and quality, serving as the direct link between field crews and the Scaffold Supervisor. Candidates must be comfortable leading, working daily with tools, and maintaining a strong safety-focused mindset within demanding construction environments. Key Responsibilities • Direct field erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolds. • Perform daily hands-on scaffold work, including assembly and installation of components. • Lead crew members to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards. • Install frames, bracing, platforms, guardrails, access systems, and other scaffold components. • Read and interpret scaffold drawings, designs, and work instructions. • Assist in securing scaffolds to structures, ensuring stability and compliance with load capacity requirements. • Supervise crew performance and ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently. • Communicate daily with the Scaffold Supervisor regarding progress, material needs, and any onsite issues. • Maintain organized storage areas and a clean worksite. • Assist with loading, unloading, and inventory control of scaffold materials. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in scaffold erection preferred but not required. • Prior experience leading scaffold crews or serving in a leadership capacity on projects. • Extensive knowledge of frame scaffolds, rolling scaffolds, and scaffold systems. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) • Training as a Scaffold Erector/User. • Experience with engineered scaffold systems and reading drawings. • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
