This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning a skilled trade with long term career growth. In this hands-on, field-based role, you will support experienced Service Technicians with inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations on a variety of commercial roofing systems. No prior commercial roofing experience is required—we provide on the job training. As you develop skills and knowledge, you’ll take on more responsibility with a clear pathway to advance into a Lead Roofing Service Technician role or beyond. What You’ll Do As a Roofing Assistant Service Technician, you will work alongside senior technicians and assist with: • Supporting inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial roofing systems • Carrying tools, materials, and equipment to and from work areas • Preparing job sites, cleaning work areas, and organizing materials • Assisting with basic repairs and installations under supervision • Helping document jobsite conditions through photos • Learning to identify common building envelope issues • Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety equipment • Learning proper roof safety, access procedures, and equipment handling • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, windy, etc.) • Supporting the team in completing quality work efficiently and safely What You’ll Learn Over time, you will be trained to: • Perform full inspections and complete detailed condition assessments • Diagnose building envelope issues and sources of leaks • Recommend corrective actions • Repair and install commercial roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal, shingles, slate, etc.) • Work with architectural sheet metal (flashing, coping, gutters, trim) • Confidently operate aerial lifts, scaffolding, and specialized tools • Communicate professionally with customers and facility personnel • Document conditions using photos, notes, sketches, and digital platforms This position is structured for long-term growth into a Lead Roofing Service Technician.
