Chemical Specialist
Our client is seeking a Chemical Specialist to join their growing service team. In this role, you'll support customers across the foodservice, commercial laundry, and food processing industries by installing, servicing, and maintaining chemical dispensing systems and related equipment. This position combines hands-on technical work with customer training and support to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and meets industry standards.
Working closely with the sales and service teams, you'll help customers improve cleaning performance, maximize equipment reliability, and deliver an exceptional service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair chemical dispensing systems and commercial dishwashing equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
Train customers and internal team members on the safe operation and proper use of chemical dispensing systems and equipment.
Evaluate customer cleaning and sanitation processes and recommend equipment or chemical solutions to improve efficiency and results.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors during on-site installations or service projects as needed.
Maintain accurate service records, inventory, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including HAZMAT, OSHA, EPA, and SDS requirements.
Follow company safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Provide professional, responsive customer service while building strong, long-term customer relationships.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is preferred.
Previous experience servicing chemical dispensing systems, commercial dish machines, or industrial equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple service calls, and travel daily within the assigned territory.
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, HAZMAT, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in various customer environments.
