Shift Available: 12 hours - Evenings and Nights
Compensation: $33.48/hr
Principal Accountabilities:
Operate heavy equipment like a backhoe, loader, bull dozer, articulated dump truck, etc., loader with attachments (bucket, boom & forks)
Operate dozer on all levels of a stack of salt
Prepare the salt stack to set the salt box
Make Salt cuts to control the feeding of salt to the stack
Complete daily reports of salt movement, use register charts and complete crude salt log
Inspect, operate and monitor conveyor belts, salt boxes and wings, diverter chute boxes, hoppers, scale equipment, magnet, dozer, and all electrical cords
Fuel, grease, lubricate, and wash daily dozer and conveyor belts; and front loader as used
Maintain clean salt
Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, going up and downstairs, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Basic computer skills
Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
Experience operating mobile equipment and/or similar equipment
Experience of road grading techniques
Experienced in light equipment maintenance (lubing, greasing, and washing)
