Our transportation company is looking to fill a Warehouse Associate position for our shipping and receiving Department. This is a very fast paced environment. This position involves handling all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments, product storage, quality control, loading and unloading, and occasional inventory management. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the physical capability to manage warehouse tasks, including operating a forklift when required. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: • Inbound Shipments: o Receive and inspect incoming shipments, conducting thorough quality control checks. o Review inbound manifests, accurately document any missing, damaged, or discrepant items, and update relevant systems according to company protocols. o Label and assign storage locations for inbound products within the warehouse. o Communicate any issues with received shipments to the appropriate departments. o Dock orders in the system o Processing critical inbound orders. • Outbound Shipments: o Load and unload products, ensuring accuracy and care in handling. o Fulfill work orders for returned merchandise, updating the system to reflect received orders. o Prepare orders for shipment by picking and packing critical outbound orders. o Update orders in the system when they are ready for shipping. o Handle FEDEX outbound shipments. • Warehouse Organization & Maintenance: o Keep the warehouse clean and organized, optimizing space for efficient operations. o Regularly monitor and maintain the orderliness of the storage areas. • Inventory Management: o Assist with occasional inventory management tasks, ensuring accurate records and stock levels. Preferred Qualifications: • Recent forklift certification (we offer in-house certification if needed) • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing workload independently with minimal supervision. • Strong problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on attention to detail. • Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills. • High level of computer literacy and attention to detail.
