Responsibilities Efficiently pick customer orders using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools safely and effectively Verify inventory levels, perform stock replenishment, and update inventory management systems in real-time Prepare orders for shipping by packing items securely, labeling accurately, and ensuring compliance with safety standards Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols Conduct quality control checks to confirm order accuracy and completeness before dispatch Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and reporting discrepancies or damages promptly Support warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving processes Skills Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse setting Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software Skilled in order picking, packing, shipping & receiving procedures with attention to detail Ability to use barcode scanners, RF (radio frequency) scanners, and inventory management systems effectively Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Knowledge of warehouse operations including stock replenishment, quality control, and materials handling Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high safety standards Commitment to consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks This role is vital in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse distribution network.
