ABOUT ENGRAMME
Engramme is an AI research lab in San Francisco building Large Memory Models (LMMs) to give people perfect, infinite memory.
Founded by former Harvard professor Gabriel Kreiman and former Harvard researcher Spandan Madan, we're a small, ambitious team working on one of the most fundamental challenges in AI: memory.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring part-time AI Data Annotators / Research Evaluators to help train, test, and improve our AI memory system.
You'll work in our San Francisco office on a variety of data labeling and evaluation tasks. No prior AI or programming experience is required. We will provide training and instructions.
Examples of tasks include:
- AI Memory Evaluation: Use our AI memory system during everyday digital activities and evaluate whether retrieved memories are useful and relevant.
- Conversation Annotation: Review recorded conversation transcripts and identify facts, experiences, and information that should be remembered.
- Memory Classification: Label AI-generated memories based on whether they contain spam, irrelevant information, or other undesirable content.
- Research Data Annotation: Review and label different types of data to help our researchers train new AI algorithms.
- Research Experiments: Participate in structured research activities, which may include recorded conversations with appropriate consent.
Tasks will evolve as our researchers develop new experiments. You'll receive guidance and training for each task.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and make consistent judgments
- Reliability and willingness to perform repetitive tasks carefully
- Comfort using everyday digital tools such as email, messaging apps, and web browsers
- Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing instructions
- Availability to work 15-20 hours per week in person at our San Francisco office
- Must be at least 18 years old
No prior AI, programming, or research experience required. College students and recent graduates are welcome.
Some evaluation tasks may involve connecting your own digital information to our system, subject to informed consent and appropriate privacy protections.
