Established general contractor and restoration company is hiring an experienced, well-rounded Construction and Restoration Technician for residential insurance repairs and remodeling throughout San Diego County. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has hands-on experience completing residential repairs professionally and can work independently without needing constant instruction or supervision. PAY & SCHEDULE • $28–$34 per hour, depending on experience and skill level • Full-time, Monday through Friday TYPICAL WORK • Drywall repair, installation, and texture matching • Interior and exterior painting • Baseboard, casing, doors, and finish carpentry • LVP and laminate flooring • Cabinet installation and minor repairs • Light demolition and general reconstruction • Jobsite protection, cleanup, and final touch-ups WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We need someone who can do more than just perform basic construction work. You should be comfortable completing repairs in occupied homes, identifying problems, determining the proper repair, and producing professional-quality finished work. Because most of our projects are inside customers’ homes, customer service is extremely important. You must communicate professionally, maintain a clean work area, make good decisions, and understand that your workmanship, appearance, attitude, and communication represent our company. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 3 years of hands-on residential construction, remodeling, or restoration experience • Must be proficient in multiple trades — **not just one specialty** • Must be able to complete common drywall, painting, flooring, and finish carpentry repairs with limited supervision • Must know how to properly protect an occupied home before beginning work and leave the jobsite clean • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and determine when to proceed and when to ask questions • Dependable and punctual • Professional appearance and communication • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Reliable transportation to the warehouse • Legally authorized to work in the United States Major tools, uniforms, and safety equipment are provided.
