JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the General Manager and Operations Manager. The Inventory Control Specialist will work in the warehouse portion of our factory in the order picking, receiving and shipping departments. The ideal candidate will be highly self-directed and able to cross-train and collaborate with other staff members to define the position in tandem with the company’s growth. DiMarzio, Inc. is in the process of changing and expanding the way our warehouse operates, and we are looking for a bright, motivated employee who will be able to grow and change with us. This position is primarily a Monday to Friday, on-site job from 8:00am to 4:30pm at our facility in Staten Island. Overtime is not routine but is possible occasionally. Salary begins at $20/hour, with a possible further increase after an initial performance review. Health benefits are included, and employees may join a 401(k) plan after one year. SAMPLE JOB DUTIES (will vary from day to day based on needs of the business): • Oversee inventory and communicate with other staff members to ensure that stock levels are correct • Thoroughly check incoming goods for damage • Review and troubleshoot discrepancies between production paperwork, computer database and physical inventory • Keep records of outgoing products and report short supplies to supervisor • Store and rearrange raw materials stock as needed • Perform full inventory counts of both raw materials and finished product, and perform transactions to correct any inaccuracies in computer database • Learn the full DiMarzio product line in order be able to accurately verify content of both incoming and outgoing orders • Help the company develop and implement new operational procedures to streamline inventory and keep production and shipping processes flowing efficiently QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to multitask and take on a number of diverse duties • Extreme attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors • Good general math skills and ability to do simple calculations without a calculator • Ability to work as a team member with shared responsibilities and take direction as needed • Previous warehouse and/or inventory experience is strongly desired • Must be proficient with computers and able to quickly learn and perform new computer-based tasks without repeated instruction • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (both written and spoken) • Must be physically able to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and stand for most of the day • Familiarity with Microsoft NAV and/or Business Central is a bonus TO APPLY: Please email resume and cover letter to reception@dimarzio.com with subject line "DIMARZIO INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST POSITION."
