Collaborate within a small, creative team environment Backdrop Staging, a high-end home staging firm, has an opening for a part-time Assistant Designer (10 - 20 hours per week). Position offers daily variety by traveling around the greater Seattle area from our home base in Shoreline. Bring your enthusiasm and positive attitude to one of Seattle's top staging companies. Must be flexible in availability. The right candidate should be highly motivated, energetic, creative and able to work well within a small team environment. This person will work under the general supervision of our Lead Designer. Responsibilities include: Assist in daily design activities Assist in the packing of furniture, art, and accessories for projects Contribute to the daily organization of accessories and art in warehouse Support Lead Designer and help set up and install and accessories at staging projects Ideal candidate will have the following: Familiarity with design implementation Creative with a good design sense Awareness of elements of different design styles Ability to work well with a team Great communication and positive energy "Low Drama" demeanor Associate’s Degree or applicable design/staging experience Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to team lift sofas, chairs, and tables Strong work ethic, punctual, and attention to detail Non-smoker Reliable transportation Professional appearance We maintain Monday - Friday business hours (no weekends) but need the ability to work occasional overtime during busy season.
